Panther Tract is near Yazoo City, Mississippi, home of the famous Grand Ole Opry star Jerry Clower.

Description:
Both natural wetlands and managed impoundments, occupying over 4,000 adjacent to the Panther Swamp National Wildlife Refuge, offer habitat for ducks by the thousands. Heated pit and bank blinds provide warm shelter for the discerning hunter. Along with guided hunts, Panther Tract offers incomparable meals and a stay in the Delta's finest and most comfortable commercial hunting facility. Accommodating up to 20 people, this lodge is a perfect place for entertaining irreplaceable clients or enjoying special friends. The 4,000 square foot lodge includes two fireplaces, separate dining and lounge areas, screened and open porches, as well as an extensive wildlife library in print and for VCR. Additional outdoor activities include sporting clays and fishing. Riverboat casino gambling is less than an hour away. Panther Tract also offers adventure for hikers, canoeists, photographers and nature enthusiasts. Limited dove, quail, rabbit, turkey and deer hunts are available upon request for a modest additional fee. Lodging, meals, guides, retrievers and game cleaning/packaging are furnished. Kennels are available for $5/day. Commercial flights are available to Jackson and Greenville, Mississippi. Both are approximately a one hour drive away from Panther Tract.

Needed:
For duck hunts, one needs warm camouflage clothing, chest waders, a shotgun, ammunition, State and Federal duck stamps and a state small game license. Non-resident licenses and ammunition are available at the lodge. For dove hunts, one needs lightweight camouflage clothing, state small game license, firearm and shells.

Cost:
Duck hunts are $300/person/day (includes overnight lodging and meals). Dove hunts are $100/person/day; over 16 people - $75/person/day; overnight is $250/person/day (includes 2 hunts/2 meals). Minimum of 6 hunters's required for reservations. Smaller parties may request placement with another scheduled group. A non-refundable deposit of 50 percent is required for reservation.
